Hong Kong, September 9, 2010 - WebSwami is very pleased to announce the release of WebSwami Version 1.5. The focus of this update includes radical improvements to the voice analysis tools in WebSwami including:

• A complete rewrite of the pitch-recognition algorithm, resulting in a much more accurate pitch/intonation voice-graph display.  Learning to model Mandarin tones, pitch changes in English question forms and tone-of-voice nuances in any language is now even easier for the learner. 
• Improved screening of background sounds.  This helps overcome problems associated with home-use (e.g. inconsistent microphone quality) and learning on-the-go (e.g. background noise), as remote users don't have the benefit of language lab-like environments. 
• Accounting for differences between the learner’s voice i.e. male, female, adult and child voices.  WebSwami now displays stress/pitch patterns rather than vocal differences between the instructor / learner related to sex and age.  
• Optimization of voice analysis processing, improving overall system performance

• The introduction of new multimedia library management tools - keeping track of and organizing digital assets is now even simpler.
• Streamlining the Editor interface and adding a quick-save option, so creating content is faster than ever before.
• Full MAC compatibility, to take account of the growing popularity of Apple. platforms.
